Surprisingly nice campground, decent spot room, lot of trees, little lovely creek behind some spots. Great playground with inflatable trampoline. Kids liked it a lot.

For a Canadian returning home to NS to live - I was astonished by the refusal of campground after campground - primarily in the Annapolis Valley area, to let us quarantine in our fully self contained motor home. We were looking to live in the valley area but no one would allow us in. I called the Halifax West KOA - explained our issue and our plans for fully self contained quarantine. They not only said - come - they put us in an area where we had full hook ups, a decent sized lot (as we could not leave our site for 14 days), we were isolated from others, they picked up our garbage and even checked on us to see if we needed anything. Once we were out of quarantine, we found a home (in the Valley) within two days but we decided to remain at this KOA until the closing because of the great way this campground is run. Once we got out of quarantine - we could explore the well kept campground and really get to know the owners. They are great people who offer lots of activities for families and even old folks like us. They offer a great camping experience and go out of their way to make your camping experience the best it can be. This camp ground is close to the Halifax area, the valley and so much of Nova Scotia. Several campers have arrived since we have been here with the same story - no campground would allow them to quarantine but Halifax West KOA not only does - they do it in a way that is safe for everyone. The entire team is so friendly and helpful. When we hit the road again to go camping - we will be back - for the people and the great facilities.

As always, my go to camp site when visiting Halifax. It’s a ways away from Halifax, but the friendliness that comes from the staff, makes it worth it. The pool is COLDER then Antarctica, but that’s not the fault of the staff. I wish the pool would be heated, but that’s minor. The boat rentals are so much fun. I enjoy being able to go down to the lake and have a paddle down it. I would like to suggest one thing to add to the lake would be double paddle boats. Next year, we may not visit Halifax, due to us possibly visiting the islands around the maritimes instead, but we will always keep this place in mind.

I have spent many a week/weekend here. It is amazing. I have camped in lots of campgrounds... and lots of KOA campgrounds. Lots of wonderful places.... But this place is really special!!! The owners are so awesome and thoughtful and kind. It feels like a family and it translates to how the guests treat each other. Firepits are great ways to make new friends as everyone is so happy. The playground is awesome. There is a big trampoline and even as an adult I use it! The amenities are awesome! They have been handling covid beautifully and I feel so safe. There are so many different sites, all beautiful! And on top of that, you can store your camper here in the winter! I love this place!!!

We stayed one night during our Atlantic canada road trip. Good place to stay short period. They have canoe and kayaks for rental. Small swimming pool and play area. Kids enjoyed it. Service is good and they service pancakes etc for breakfast for nominal fee. Check with the counter for breakfast times etc. If you are looking for hiking , water front activities etc this is not the place. But if you looking for relaxed accommodations, yes.
