ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Jess our instructor was so helpful, informative and patient with us. The overall process was so easy and relaxing. Myself and the others were quite nervous going into the water because it was our first time, Jess made us feel super safe. The business owner is one of the nicest humans I’ve ever met, he did absolutely everything he could to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. I 100% loved every minute of it and will go surfing again!!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Wick’d Surf. My man, Eric and I, took a private lesson (with Jess): super informative and helpful. Hit some waves. Great tips on safety and also efficiency. After, we ventured off and rented boards from Wick’d for the last few days. Andy really, really cares. He goes above and beyond to make sure people are having a good time and surf. He’s quick to respond via text or call when you have a question or concern. We even had a voice message this morning on a recommendation on where to surf. We have learned so much from both of them, and have felt so at ease navigating the beaches because of their helpful tips and direction. Couldn’t recommend them enough: kindness, caring, informative, responsible and responsive. Thank you, Wick’d!!! 5/5 all day.
From start to finish, our family of 3 adults and 3 kids had such a positive experience with Andy, Jess and his assistant at the shop. Everyone was so friendly, responsive and relaxed. Andy was very encouraging and patient with our group and was sure to allocate enough time throughout our lesson to each individual. Jess stayed with our littlest one who is 8 years old the entire lesson. Jess's upbeat energy and 1:1 dedication was very much appreciated for the smallest one so that she could also maximize the experience. Lastly, allowing us to keep our gear for an additional 24 hours was greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if other surf shops extend this but it's a big perk and allows you to get out again the following day to practice your skills. Andy was patient in explaining how to store and load the boards to the car using the straps. We definitely took advantage of this the next day! Thanks again for a wonderful experience. Surfing requires patience but is so rewarding once you can get up even for a few seconds!
Had my daughter spend two days (individual sessions) with Andrew @ Wick'd Surf Camp in mid August. Despite torrential rains - not unusual for the West Coast - we both had a great time. Andrew's primary focus is on ocean / current theory and safety. This is stuff I'd never be able to teach, and he reiterates to ensure the younger ones comprehend. Andrew had great rapport with my daughter who is typically shy and reserved. He took a patient approach, not pushing too hard and celebrating the small successes. Arrangement for wetsuits (I had to attend in-water due to COVID measures) and equipment was hassle-free. We got to keep our equipment overnight, meaning we stayed an extra 2 hrs in the water after the first lesson. Price was excellent value - highly recommended!
Our surf lesson was awesome! They were very organized: shop was clean, wetsuits looked brand new and kept us very warm. I was pretty scared, and the instructor (I think her name was Jess) made me feel very confident and helped me catch the first few waves so I could get the hang of it. She stayed out in the water with us for the duration of the lesson, and gave us all individual help. We'll be coming back for sure!
