Zoe's place was amazing!!! My friends and I stayed last year and the architecture and thought put into the clean, artistic details of the space actually took our breath away. So airy and bright. The right amount of cozy and chic. Beautiful graphic artwork. I looked up The Grey Pebble today as I am heading to Ukee again this month which is when I saw that crazy 1 star Google review which made no sense --- so I felt the need to write this review to assure people that review has to be a total fabrication --- and to give Zoe the glowing review her and her property deserve. The home when we were there was absolutely pristine. The owner and her daughter do both live in the home. She was a gracious, discrete host who ensured the space was incredibly comfortable - especially the beds!!! Wow!!! (We even snuck a peek at the brand of mattress and sheets used so we might buy them ourselves... They were that luscious). Practicing morning yoga in the large yard we could hear the ocean waves, even without the property being waterfront. Had deer visit too. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub under the stars after hiking the Wild Pacific Trail. Lounged and read books under the pretty patio lights. The only thing we didn't get around to enjoying was the firepit --- simply because we were so busy exploring. That weekend the 3 of us had in Ukee for our \girls getaway\ was one of our BEST BC travel experiences --- and so without hesitation, I highly recommend Zoe's property for when she chooses to reopen, post-COVID. I personally would LOVE to stay there again and hope it reopens soon. Definitely 5 star

I never give a bad review. I normally just let it pass but I feel its really important to share. When I stayed at The Grey Pebble there was an ant infestation. I mean ants EVERYWHERE in my room! When I checked in the bathroom was incredibly dirty and the toilette hadn't been flushed. It was a mess... After discovering the ants, I called and spoke to someone who said they were the owner 'Zoe Ludwig'. They were unwilling to do anything, very rude.. I would say to the point of hostile. Our anniversary was ruined. I had saved up for this trip to make my partner happy... I will never stay there again. Really bad experience :(
I live here. I’m the child that runs to my room before you see me. It’s always clean here and I’m not allowed to do anything that makes a mess. My mom is very nice. My friends used to be scared of her because she’s very particular and professional. She’s got lots of cool stories and great taste. She’s a kind and friendly host. She does some interior design work which you can see when you come to our house.
Hi I own The Grey Pebble. I'm responding to Alex McDonald's review. I don't know Alex and he never stayed at my BnB. Due to Covid19 I have had my BnB closed this year. Also I live here, so he wouldn't have had to call me to complain, he could have just found me in my office. I'm a neat freak and do my very best to make sure my BnB is spotless. Please check reviews from people that have actually stayed here on my Air BnB listing. Thanks so much.
