Have travelled with Worldwide Quest/Women's Travel Network 3 times, twice to India which was great and more recently to Morocco, October of 2019 which was disappointing. Before joining the Morocco trip I asked whether being a vegetarian (actually pescatarian) would be an issue and was told NO it would not. But in fact, it was an issue. Many of the meals (dinner) were a set menu and on at least two (one near the end of the trip!) there was no meal for me. Throughout the trip, the Toronto rep had to continually harp about a veg meal (or fish) for me with the local guide, otherwise it would not happen. This should have been a simple and smooth undertaking and not an issue. Most of the activities were specifically for tourists with little integration with Moroccan culture. Most of the restaurants catered to tourists. There were many trips to \cooperatives\, again specifically designed for tourists so that business owners could show us how something was crafted or made, followed by sales in their shops with higher prices than the local markets. There was some resistance to let us go to the local market in each city. All in all, I feel like the tour provided a sheltered experience of Morocco. And as a vegetarian, perhaps the only trips where being one wouldn't be an issue is India.

I went on a Southern India Culinary tour with WWQ – what a truly memorable experience. The hotels were all fascinating – luxurious but with real local character and charming hosts – often family run We met local chefs who explored the food markets with us, explained the spices and showed us how to cook authentic, great tasting food. I now know how to cook dosa, and many Tamil Nadu recipes. Everything was well managed: planned with lots of attention to detail, but with plenty of room for spontaneity - who could forget the wild Tuk-Tuk ride to various (pre-screened) night street food vendors in Madurai! The guides were all knowledgeable and very helpful. Recommended!

I used Worldwide Quest for a bucket list trip to the Himalayas in Fall 2017, it was my first experience with the company and I highly recommend it. All I had to do was show up and, as per the company's tag line, pack an open mind. Overall, my expectations were surpassed; the itinerary carefully planned and executed (including a change due to last minute travel restrictions imposed by the local government), communication prior to the trip timely and responsive, accommodations great, food superb, and the local guides knowledgeable. I was anxious about doing the trip due to some mobility issues; I especially appreciated the patience, attention, and encouragement of our tour leader. Already planning my next adventure.

This is a revision of a previously written poor review I wrote of this travel company. There was an unfortunate airline strike at the end of a 2 and 1/2 week trip to Chile and Argentina which caused great confusion and disarray among the travelers, including myself. A confusing series of communications between the local tour operators and myself led me to believe that WWQ had basically left me to my own devices to get myself and my husband home. That was not the case and I would like to set the record straight. They actually did try to make return arrangements but I was not aware of it until after I had made my own. The tour itself was wonderful, all the hotels and tour arrangements were great and WWQ did a great job organizing the tour. Their staff is superb, was always helpful during the pre-trip planning process. I would recommend this company.

My wife and I spent 15 days under the care and attention of Worldwide Quest in November 2017, travelling to Japan and South Korea. In a word our experience was DISAPPOINTING. A first clue was that we received our full itinerary only 4 days before departing. There were many issues, including ALL the guides having poor English skills and in some cases limited knowledge of their assigned tour. Logistics were helter-skelter, and poorly organized. Use of public transport was excessive, in one case we were a group of 16 standing in the dark waiting for a public bus to take us to dinner. The food was largely forgettable, with a few exceptions. We had a Professor of History with us, presumably to give us added insight to where we were going. Unfortunately there were no arrangements made in advance to facilitate this happening, and our professor had to wing it at breakfasts and airport gates. Upon registering our considerable disappointment to Worldwide Quest, and having spent close to 20K with them, they simply apologized and sent us a cheque for about 10% of the total cost. I would not use Worldwide Quest again for any form of travel arrangements.
