The Women's Legal Mentorship Program ("WLMP") believes there is a better way to open doors and unlock possibilities. Given the statistics around pay inequality, the low number of women in the C-Suite and issue of retaining women in the legal profession, there is a need for a different approach to mentorship. That's why the WLMP is focused on creating new mentorship opportunities and evolving the way mentorship is delivered. The WLMP is a unique women’s legal mentorship program dedicated to increasing the number of women and women identifying persons in the law by helping remove barriers and open doors through our certified foundational feminist 3-part mentorship program consisting of intergrated peer mentorship, lawyer-student mentorship and customized professional development options. Through the WLMP program, WLMP Student Partcipants develop strategies to unlock their unique possibilities and create their own WLMP network to help open doors. We believe that engaging in feminist mentorship both as a WLMP Peer Mentee and Mentor, and also working with a WLMP Legal Mentor offers female law students the opportunity to develop their own empowering network so they and future generations can move from the classroom to the courtroom and beyond™.
