Took a trip down to the Toronto Railway Museum today and had the place to myself. Open for tours inside or you can explore the grounds. First time seeing everything here and worth the trip. Great spot for kids as they would have the time of there lives. And Steam Whistle patio is open next door.

Loved the downtown. Lucky to get a parking easily. Seemed well managed.

A most interesting place indeed located at the foot of the city with amazing vintage yet important rail history of transportation in the big city. The box cars and locomotive engines are most beautiful even if from the past, they show those of us how much progress has been made. If you are fortunate enough you also get to see the engineers in the workshops as they restore or service other parts of the growing display. While touring these great wonders you also have nice outdoor food and drink establishments family oriented. Absolutely worth a visit and enjoyable by all ages.

It’s a fantastic place. Although I didn’t have the time to enter the museum, I spent some time at the yard which had some engines from the bygone era stationed. Each has some kind of history to it and an informative signboard gives all the details. It’s a good place for kids and families to spend some time.

Nice little museum, small but with lots of info. The staff was very friendly. I wish we could've seen the back where they renovate the trains but I understand why that's not possible. We enjoyed it!

The museum is small, I'm not sure if the other half is just workshop or in construction. One of the real train display is in maintenance as well....When you walk inside you see this huge train that is there and we thought we can go up there however it's in a restricted area. They should have inform people half of it is not accessible before asking people to pay 5 each. Im glad the kids are not old enough so we didn't have to pay more. Better spend the admission for the mini train ride outside then the "museum" itself.

Is nice. Right now is under construction. Make it look like the 5 is to much but actually isn't. I guess the fee includes the outside part. So actually is a good price. I didn't take the small train ride but is cheap. I wish one day the trains can be access the inside too. I wouldn't mind paying more if that's the case.
