My son has been taking lessons at Ruth Rumacks for several months. His tutor is helping him learn how to read. She is fantastic at picking up on and meeting his needs for instance his need to move, stay positive, make the lessons fun. On any given day he might come in in a different mood and sometimes has anxiety, with tools like weighted stuffed animals and bouncy balls the center is able to meet a child where they are at. The reading program is mastery based meaning they wait for a child's full comprehension before moving forward. And, they can consult with your child's teacher to team up to help the child outside of tutoring. We are very happy so far.

Ruth Rumack's learning space is an absolute gem of a place. My kids started here at one of their summer camp weeks and were SO impressed with it decided to stay on for one-to-one tutoring during the school year. Honestly, the caliber of teachers at this school are unbelievable. The difference it has made in my kids confidence is amazing. I recommend it absolutely without hesitation!

This learning space has made a huge difference for our son. We discovered in grade 2 that he has a learning disability that makes reading and writing difficult for him. The teachers at Ruth Rumack give him the specialized, tailored, 1:1 instruction that he needs - and always with fun, creative, engaging and movement based methods. He is flourishing. The location is perfect for us and the administration is consistently super organized, friendly and helpful. I have recommended this place to many friends looking for supports for their children.

I have a 12 and 15 year old and we have been working with RRLS for almost 3 years. Both my kids have different tutors who are equally amazing in their own ways and really understand each of my kids needs, their personalities and just how much to push them. Their marks have gone up, they don't complain about going to tutor and it's truly been an amazing experience.

My son has been tutoring at RRLS for almost a year. His tutor Vanessa is fantastic with him. He has gone from being a non-reader to reading on his own. It brings tears to my eyes to have my son reading to me before bed. My son loves to play hockey and doesn’t like to sit for extended periods of time. Vanessa plays hockey with him while incorporating some of his lesson into the game. He always loves to talk about this on the way home. Vanessa shares all of my son’s progress with me and his teachers so we are all on the same page when it comes to his learning and making sure he is successful. He has had an amazing experience. Our daughter's tutor is creative, engaging, interesting and highly effective and makes a great effort to understand our daughter's learning style and strengths and to work effectively with them. Our daughter very much enjoys her tutoring, looks forward to every class, and thinks her tutor is the best teacher she has ever had. Our son loved the Power Pencils Program! Direct Instruction was also excellent with clear goals and ongoing assessment. Would love to see calendar invites included so the lessons are blocked in our family calendars. Hoping RRLS might be able to offer instruction in French in the future and more options for the Power Sentences because the group work is lots of fun.
