Toronto is known for its impressive restaurant selection but I have to admit my first experience with Kultura was very unique. A politician friend who by preference facilitates "business after 5" meetings" in restaurants vs. boardrooms recommended this place to me for an after 5. I have to admit, I felt taken aback when first greeted and when given a chance to absorb everything the final product was top shelf and service with panache! As a business owner myself I believe in 100% service and 100% promise/product. From one professional to another this experience was 210%! Hat's off to the owner and compliments to the chef...this restaurant has a social atmosphere but adds elegance to this dining envirnment environment. I brought my wife here for our anniversary and she could not be more pleased. I had the pleasure to meet the owner then and after learning more about him and the business it was evident that there was a lot of passion behind his vision. Their Cornets were superb and I had the Lamb for dinner, my wife had the Sea Bass...5 stars! I highly recommend this experience, looking forward to the next visit!

After waiting an hour past our confirmed reservation time, the food was mediocre. We had reservations for 7:30, and Kultura called us thrice to verify we'd be there for 7:30, or they couldn't guarantee a table; we called ahead to confirm, and arrived at 7:20. We were told it would be a little bit of a wait because they were overbooked for Winterlicious. No one could quantify "a little bit of a wait" and there wasn't any seating at the bar, because at least 3 parties ahead of us were in the same situation. After hovering for an hour, constantly jostled by wait staff and other patrons, we were finally seated at 8:20, on a nearly empty second floor. A little odd. The food, while prompt, was disappointing. For the steak, the only options were medium rare and well done; both people who ordered it in our party chose well done and it was terribly overdone. The chicken was all bone and the pasta was uninspired. The appetizers and desserts were alright, though. While the decor is certainly impressive, it was too dark to see my food. Neither manager nor staff offered any apologies or recompense for the exorbitant wait; the response was along the lines of "I understand but there's nothing we can do". Definitely not recommended and we certainly won't be back.
Went with a group of 10 to for a night out. It was a MONDAY, we requested the prix fixe menu, and were told that it was not available. Both the sign on the front window as well as the website advertised availability Monday to Thursday. No explanation given. Service was extremely slow. Returned 3 of the 10 main dishes (all Sea Bass - fish was not fresh). Food was hit and miss, some of the appetizers were tasty and presented well, while others were terrible. At the price point they have positioned themselves at, they should be delivering MUCH better food. Will not be going back.
Kultura provides superior food, service and quality as compared to many restaurants in the Toronto area. I am a business owner operating in downtown Toronto, and I frequent Kultura on a weekly basis to enjoy their eclectic menu, as well as bring business colleagues and friends to enjoy an evening out. Gorgeous food and such a surprise to learn the chef was so young yet so accomplished. It's a beautiful space and the service and food matched it wonderfully. Would most definitely recommend it.
nice-looking place, good service. good-looking portions, but taste awful! there were 3 of us at dinner that day, and we ordered almost everything on the menu between us, so that we could try as many things as possible. Maybe one or two dishes were good out of all of them.
Wonderful hostess, amazing and very friendly service. Great food selection . I highly recommend it for a wonderful start of lovely night out.
