My 5 year old twins are currently taking music lessons and I have been very impressed with the professionalism and Johns ability to connect with, and manage, such young kids. Having lessons after school can be difficult as kids are often tired and full of energy, but John has showed great patience and ability in dealing with all of their ups and downs. John is able to get them to focus and makes learning fun. My kids have showed great progress in their understanding of the instruments themselves, and of music in general. I highly recommend John and Neighbor Note for anyone looking for music lessons.

Amazing approach to teaching kids to love music and not give up and at the same time allowing kids to try different instruments and find the one they love to play. My son loved that he started to play Star wars opening theme as soon as he started to learn first notes on piano. Teacher knows how to get kids motivated to practice and move forward. Can't wait for the band to start too. Warmly recommend.

Our son has been taking music lessons with Neighbour Note for several years, first piano and then guitar. John is an excellent teacher who can modify any lesson plan to respond to the student's ability and curiosity. The price is reasonable; they are flexible if you need to reschedule a lesson; and the music students get the opportunity to showcase what they have learned at Neighbour Note's spring and winter recitals. I highly recommend Neighbour Note.

John is great teacher ! Very patient and professional. He knows how to relate to kids. My kid pick up guitar quickly and have become very proficient in 2 yrs. In addition, John teaches them modern music ( for my age ) :) that I can relate to and enjoy hearing.

I've been taking adult guitar lessons with John for the last few months. It has been a wonderful experience so far as I haven't taken lessons in over 10 years and was a bit nervous initially. John is a very patient teacher and it's clear his passion for music comes through each lesson I participate in. I was a bit hesitant at first switching to online as I personally do not learn well via video and prefer in-person lessons. However I'm glad that online lessons are an option and my experience switching to online has been pleasant. As someone who hasn't played guitar in such a long time, I'm definitely glad I decided to go with Neighbour Note after reading the positive reviews on Google. The rates are also fairly priced and I would recommend them to students of all ages for sure! I may consider taking lessons for the Ukulele in the future :) (Once I improve my guitar skills first...). I'm thankful to have rediscovered a creative hobby, especially during quarantine.
