I showed up looking for a guitar pick unbeknownst to me they don't sell them. The gentleman working told me there's another music store on the Danforth but then offered me one of his own pics as I mentioned I had just bought an acoustic guitar and was going to teach myself to play. Super friendly and generous of him. I'll have to come back when I'm in the neighborhood and check out their music collection. Great energy here!

New favourite record store. I wish I lived closer. Mike is enthusiastic and friendly. Great to meet got.
I’m glad there are still some decent record stores in Toronto. Mike’s is okay, but not one of the better ones. Within the dreary 1970s basement ambiance is an assortment of mostly uninspiring Dad Rock and some jazz — ordinary pressings in ordinary condition but at extraordinary prices. There’s hardly a playable used LP in the shop for under 20 to 25. I laughed out loud at the silly prices for dead average stuff — things that Kops, Sonic Boom and Rotate This would charge much less for. Mike, when you fix your pricing and then your decor, maybe next time I visit I won’t be the only person in the shop.
This store is FANTASTIC. Mike is a great guy to talk to. He is so personable. The selection of Vinyl and CD’s is incredible. Get to this store as soon as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I picked up a Neil Young Box Set and I’m loving it. Prices are very reasonable. Many thanks Mike. I’ll be back.
They have huge sale on records got myself some 80-90s rock.
