Working with Maria was one of the best decisions we made to help us through our pregnancy and birth journey! From the moment we met Maria early on in my pregnancy, we felt an immediate sense of calm and knew she was the right person for the job. She's incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. Her expertise played a huge role in ensuring my first pregnancy was as smooth as could be and the birth of my baby girl couldn't have gone any better. Having her by my side was a huge relief as well - she was on the ball at all times and she took such good care of my husband and I throughout the entire process. Thank you once again Maria. Took a Spinning Babies class taught by Maria and it was amazing! She is very knowledgeable and passionate. Loved everything about the class and her demeanor. HIGHLY recommend ALL of Maria's services as part of your pregnancy. She is amazing.
Maria was knowledgeable, a great listener, and helped me prepare at every step of the way during my second pregnancy. It was a really great experience and I don't know what I would have done without her at my birth. She didn't even need to ask questions, it was like she knew what would help when and was always spot on. She also checked on me every once in a while postpartum until I was ready for our final visit, which was such a nice time to reflect and chat. Maria was truly such a special and important part of my birth experience and I could not be more grateful for her support!
Maria was a wonderful coach and partner throughout the birthing process. She brings a huge depth and breadth of knowledge to the experience while managing to keep everything feeling positive and joyful. I could not recommend Maria's services as a doula more highly. My husband and I worked with her over the course of our pregnancy, and her calm and capable demeanour gave us the confidence to approach the entire labour and delivery process with a sense of ease. While the birth of our daughter didn't ultimately end up unfolding the way I had envisioned, having Maria by our side was one of the best choices I made and she made us feel truly supported the entire time. Incredibly knowledgeable, easygoing, warm and loving, Maria is the epitome of what I was looking for in a doula and I would not hesitate to use her services again.
We still remember our visit with Maria almost a whole year later. We contacted her for last minute placenta encapsulation. She was so warm on the phone and arrived to our home shortly after to pick up the placenta and check in with us and our new baby. She was so calm and sweet, after she left my partner and I felt like we had been visited by a guardian angel! She returned the next day with the beautifully jarred capsules and clear instructions. I felt a huge difference at the end of the first day of taking the capsules, much more stable in my emotions and more grounded over all. My midwives remarked on how quickly I healed and recovered from labor and birth and I feel the placenta capsules played a huge role in that recovery. I will always remember Maria so fondly and feel forever grateful for her gentle presence and wisdom.
Do not have a baby unless Maria is in your corner! As a first time mom, pregnancy was was scary and the thought of giving birth even scarier. Maria was able to assuage my fears as well as my husband's. She supported us during the weeks leading up to the special day and once there, she spent the whole time with me, spending the night on a chair beside me. She reassured me, massaged me, explained what was going, translated doctor speak for me, etc. I and my whole family are so grateful she was there with me that day. Post-partum, she visited and gave me some tips and generally reassurance that my feelings and fears were normal. It was so important to hear that. If there is another baby, I definitely want her by my side and encourage anyone who is pregnant to reach out and meet her. She won't disappoint!
