I'm from Ottawa and always visit Little Island and the Beguiling when I'm in town. Staff is helpful and generally amazing. Fantastic selection and great vibe!

We ( the people of Toronto) are lucky to have Little Island Comics. The fact that a small independent comic book / book store can survive in here, in this day and age is a small miracle. I love taking my kids here. I have found that graphic novels are a great stepping stone on the way to full literacy for my children. Usually, we get them from the library, but sometimes, when it's something special, or a special occasion, I'll let them choose a keeper. They also have a small but good collection of French bande dessinées (graphic novels) and some really interesting special subject books in comic book format (philosophy, medicine, history, etc).

The best selection of kids comics I have ever seen, the staff knew just what to recommend when shopping for the kids in my family. I highly suggest asking for recommendations for whomever you are shopping for. And I also found out they provide library services to educators all over Ontario who are looking to expand their comic and graphic novel selections for classrooms and libraries. Can't recommend this store enough to anyone with children in their life.

Great store for kids books, graphic novels and early readers. Very influenced by the TO comic book scene. Wish it was bigger!
