My husband and I have always wanted to try La Paella and we are extremely glad we did! With the pandemic lockdown, we ordered takeaway for my birthday dinner and it was a delightful and delicious experience. When ordering, the owner/chef was very patient and detailed when explaining the options - superb customer service! We had the white pickled asparagus, croquettes, prawns in olive oil/garlic sauce, octopus carpaccio and of course paella negra (octopus, clams and shrimps). The food maintained its tasty flavours and visual appeal even via takeaway containers. When lockdown is over, we’ll have to visit this Leslieville gem! Thank you for making my birthday lockdown dinner a great one :).

Excellent paella like the ones in Spain. They and Patria got the best paellas in Toronto. Carmen was alright, more on the salty side. Really cool that when it was open you could see the chefs cook live. Pricey like all paella in Toronto.
We were worried that the joys of paella would be lost in a take home scenario, but it was great. The paella was beautifully arranged in the tray, which we put on the warmer on our stove while we ate the appetizers. Everything tasted wonderful, even without the restaurant’s atmosphere, and we didn’t have to worry about chasing our toddler through a restaurant in a pandemic. The stuffed mussels are now my favourite comfort food. I won’t be able to pass the restaurant without thinking of them. One paella and two appetizers are more than enough for two hungry adults and a toddler.
My friend and I had an amazing experience dining here for my birthday dinner. I highly recommend getting the seafood paella! The owner Angel was so friendly and surprised me with a birthday cake at the end of our dinner. It was a memorable experience and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you Angel!!
