Praise be to God Almighty - Allah - I started taking Quran Arabic lessons at Jami Masjid at a time when the little ones were taking Islamic studies and Arabic in the lower level. Alhamdulillah my husband and I got married at our beloved Jami Masjid, by Br Abdulla (now Sheikh Abdalla Idris), in the cozy space upstairs since our families were mixed. Soon after, he and the ISNA board worked diligently to arrange the purchase of what would become ISNA Community School on Sherway Drive. The rest is history, MashaAllah , and the proliferation of Islamic schools and Masjid in the GTA derived from our Jami Masjid and it's little school in the lower level and of course, very dedicated teachers and parents.

Being the first mosque in Toronto, Jami mosque is very peaceful and excellent environment to experience tranquility. This is one of the most friendly mosque to visitors and surrounding neighborhoods.

Prayed zuhar here . First time in the mosque , found very clean and peaceful environment . Also many local non Muslims come to the mosque for queries and helping community.

Stopped by while in town for the day. One of the friendliest masjids I’ve ever been to. Lovely people, beautiful place to pray.
