An absolute favourite downtown restaurant for Italian food! The butternut squash ravioli and lobster ravioli are phenomenal! Delicious housemade chilli sauce!

Frequent traveler - This is a cozy cafe reminding me of San Francisco with the layout. They are conveniently located in Downtown next to an English pub. The service was amazing. We came on a Wednesday without reservations and were seated immediately. We had a variety of dishes plus desert. Our waiter, William, told us about the specials they made our night. My son had a New York steak with roasted potatoes and vegetables. I had eggplant rolls which was an appetizer but I ate as a meal. They made special tea for my Aunt and plain spaghetti for my daughter. They were incredibly accommodating plus gave us tourist ideas. They have an extensive drinks menu. We had the Royal Chocolate Truffle cake for desert which was just one of several choices.
I would not consider this fine Italian food, nor authentic and I am not even Italian. Prices are high considering the portions and quality. I had the pasta and the sauce tasted like it had chicken stock cubes, to make it taste better. But I would have preferred fresh herbs. Also I find it interesting that their tipping options start at 25%, considering there was nothing special. The ambiance is romantic so it’s nice for a date. Go to Terroni you will pay the same but way better food.
My boyfriend and I came for our anniversary dinner earlier this week and we had a wonderful time! I believe our server's name was William (that's what it said on the check, but he was serving the indoor section) and he made our experience particularly great. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered to cater dishes specifically to our liking. A fruit fly fell into my drink (because the door was open) and William graciously got me a new one! All-around, he made us very comfortable and was a highlight of our dinner. The food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Everything we had was very filling and the seafood risotto is a must-have!
We reserved for a table and was immediately seated upon showing our booking. There was a line up on a saturday night that we went so reserve online if possible. Food wise the pasta was amazing, the shrimp and scallop was my favorite, better than the seafood wine garlic. As an appetizer we got the calamari, I personally prefer a more grilled texture of it, it tasted a little too soft for me and the portion was quite small considering the price as an app and my main dish pasta had around the same amount of calamari in it. Overall it was an excellent meal, we paired it with their house white wine and my girl friend enjoyed the whole experience.
