After filling out a lengthy online intake form, and then undergoing a 90min in person intake interview I was informed that they were refusing to treat me due to 2 technicalities. 1) My surgeon had referred me instead of my GP - we we not informed ahead of time that this was necessary, and 2) I am receiving Botox for migraine at another pain clinic. The Dr asked why that Clinic is not treating me for my post surgical pain issues. I replied that A)they have no knowledge of this issue as I have not been referred for that issue and B)they do not inquire if I have any other issues I would like to be referred for - they are only treating me for the specific issue that I have been referred for. She replied that that's not how THEY operate and that she would not be treating me. What am I supposed to do now?! I waited MONTHS to get in to see these people - I have horrible post surgical abdominal, visceral pain. I can't sleep at night. I'm lucky if I get 4hrs after I fall over exhausted around 3 or 4am. I can't work. I specifically told them I am having suicidal ideation - but what do they care?! Technicalities are more important, RIGHT?!
