Phenomenal Korean fried chicken. We did one box with sauce and one without. Both were incredible. Best I’ve had!

Core used to be my go-to Korean spot in the east end, but they’ve sadly gone downhill over the past couple months. My last couple orders have consistently had smaller portions and less meat than before, and the Korean Fried Chicken tasted like spongey cheap Chinese takeout Chicken...not how KFC is supposed to be! While I understand the challenges that small restaurants are facing, it’s hard to continue supporting local places like this if the food is no longer up to par due to cost cutting. Hope they go back to how they used to be!
Wow. We were thrilled to hear the folks at Core had switched to a Korean menu but we were unprepared for just how INCREDIBLE the new food is. We had the fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce and a few other dishes and I cannot believe how good it was. During the pandemic we are trying to eat & support local, so our delivery came super fast and super hot. Everything was perfect, especially the fried chicken. I’m taking mind-blowing good and insanely crispy. I’m already dreaming about leftovers tomorrow. Looking forward to many more orders - you guys have earned a new customer for life!!!
Such a delicious Korean place in the town. One of the best Korean fried chicken I have ever tried. Bibim bap super delicious and highly recommend.
I loved sitting by the open window at Core on a summery day. It’s fun people watching, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is classy (with all the right service details), but still laid back and low key coinciding with the Leslieville vibe. We ordered a number of dishes - they were all well cooked, well portioned, innovative, beautifully and colourfully presented, and fairly priced. We don’t often order dessert - that night, we ordered dessert. Our server was super friendly and full of knowledge - as the menu is locally and seasonally sourced. He was just very personable and attentive. I would love to go back.
Amazing food. Best fried chicken in the city. The pork dupbap and kimchi pancake are my other favourites. Love this place.
This is definitely one of the tastiest place in the area. Anytime I come there I am incredibly glad. They hold their very high standard service and the highest level of meals they give. You are always happy with this place. Very recommended.
This restaurant offers superb service as well as delicious meals. One of my favourite places in the area. The meals arrived fast and the rates were reasonable. I recommend this place.
