It has been more than a decade since I lived in Toronto and had the privilege and joy of studying with Cindy. I may live far away but the studio and the work stays with me. Under Cindy's guidance I developed a willingness to be honest with myself that has informed my whole life. I hold the time I spent at the studio with Cindy and my fellow actors close to my heart. To anyone looking to expand their practice or their connection to themselves and the people in their lives I highly recommend joining Cindy in the studio whether it be virtually or in person.

As a teacher, Cindy is the complete package. She’s an incredibly intuitive listener and communicator, with decades of teaching and acting experience and both a scientific and spiritual understanding of the way energy flows through us. Cindy’s acting classes are simultaneously effortless and the hardest thing a person can do. To excel all one needs to bring is the truth – sounds simple, doesn’t it? Cindy attentively helps her students find their own truth, making each of us better actors, artists and human beings in the process. There is a tremendous variety in Cindy’s course material, as she offers unique, highly tailored exercises that are the product of her many years of experience. While you’ll never know what you’re in for in any given class, you will always leave having had an experience that shaped you. All you have to do is trust: there is so much to learn.

This place is so much more than just an acting studio. Having done two Actors Instruments and going onto my second Scene Study class I feel there is a real sense of community created here. Cindy is a generous guide, who sees her students in their truth and helps us to explore our own emotions and deep rooted needs in a safe environment. Through AI and Scene Study I'm finally grasping the real meaning of empathy and what the actors work is truly about, devoid of ego. Cindy accepts all people, whether you're a beginner, a seasoned actor, or just a soul in search of connection. This place is about what it means to be universally human.

I enrolled in Cindy’s Actor’s Instrument class at a time in my life where I felt completely disconnected and lost from my true self. Having zero acting experience was not a problem as Cindy welcomes beginner students , well seasoned actors, and individuals whom are having trouble listening to their own truth. Enrolling in the Actor’s Instrument class has been a deeply transformative experience. This class has provided me with a sacred space to understand myself in a profound way and it gave me the opportunity to learn from the powerful work of other students. The work done in this class cultivates humanity that is raw, pure, and completely honest. Cindy is a gifted teacher; she creates a space that is inspiring and supportive, where students are encouraged to explore emotions, become curious about them, and trust intuition which is at the heart of creativity. Cindy guides students into the mind/body connection so that the intuitive creative power is rooted and embodied. I would highly recommend taking Cindy’s Actor’s Instrument class- whether your an actor or just looking to deepen a personal understanding of yourself, this class is truly exceptional.

Cindy is a teacher generous beyond measure. She sees people. She sees people in ways they don't yet see themselves. She is encouraging, yet firm. Serious, yet playful. She has high expectations of her students and creates and environment that is safe and rich in learning possibilities. After six weeks of classes (Actors Instrument) my heart and mind were full of gratitude and an appreciation that acting is a continual learning experience. Actors Instrument pushed me to see people (any myself) in a different way and I'm excited to bring the skills I developed to my art of acting. Working with Cindy is truly meaningful.
