I'm not a runner but my brother-in-law is, so when I heard he wanted a pair of warm mittens for his winter training, I jumped at the opportunity to shop locally. Purchasing from BlackToe was a seamless experience with quick curbside pick-up and a wonderful staff experience! So happy to be able to support an independent shop instead of another big box. I can't say enough wonderful things about BlackToe. It came recommended to me by a number of very serious runners, and I'm so glad I took their recommendation. 1. Incredible service. I went in as a long-time athlete but a newbie runner, and received a full assessment to help me understand what type of shoes would be best for me. The staff were patient and kind while I tried (and re-tried) a number of pairs, and I left feeling very confident in my purchase. 2. They really know their stuff. This is a store by runners, for runners, so I feel confident with every purchase because I know they only stock brands and items that they believe in. 3. This team is doing everything they can to innovate and stay afloat during the pandemic. They're not just sitting back and waiting for the next round of government funding – but adapting to curb side and digital product consultations. I believe in supporting small business, but I especially love to support one that's really doing their best to make it through this crisis.

Had such an incredible experience here. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth. Some running places can be very \elite\ and intimidating, but this store really is for every runner. I was assessed for running shoes which was a great experience, asked about what I was looking for in a shoe, provided various options and price points. I wound up with an incredible shoe and will definitely be back!
