Nice place for gelato. Really like the unique flavours! Gotta order online before hand and pick up during their posted hours. Usually there’s a line up for pick up.
Great pairing of flavours! I liked that the ingredients were Ontario and local. 5 flat made purchase easy. During pre-covid 19 times, the streets would be lined with Italian music with some people dancing and eating gelato.

Right behind the famous "Rushton" restaurant, there is a small gem of place called Bar Ape. Cash only, limited choices, simplified menu and OH BOY, good, no, great Italian ice cream... go there once and you're hooked!
They take online order for pickup on Fridays and cash-only walk-ins on Mondays. The gelato soft serve is 5 bucks after tax Had the Ontario pear and pumpkin seed mix. It was good! And the main front guy taking orders was handsome I like that they rotate flavours, which keeps things interesting
cute little shop doing online orders of gelato bars and in person soft serves. may expect some line up during pickup hours but if you show up early, or later during the time slot, the line should be reasonable. i’ve had many of their gelato bars and they are all i want during summer. yes, they are very good. their hours might be a bit inconvenient for some, they occasionally have some bars available at famiglia baldassarre, which is awesome when i get my pasta fix i also get the gelato bar fix :)
I am not sure how it is possible to not like this place. By far the best gelato and combos of flavours in the city.
