My wife really clogged our drain. I got a call 30 minutes before from the plumber saying he’d be there shortly. Very happy with the service and explanations I received.

Recently we had an issue with our drainage. I have contacted Anta plumbing. They immediately came and identified the issue. The problem was tree roots entered through the clay drainage pipe and blocks the drain. The permanent solution is to replace 12 feet long pipe at 10 feet deep. Before dig they need to get located the other utilities and it was going to take two weeks. Therefore they partially unblock the drain remotely (this is only a temporary solution). They came back in two weeks and replaced the drain. The work was very tidy. They have not damage any other location ( such as paves, lawn, tree etc). Considering the amount of work involved, the rate was very reasonable. They took all the garbage and left the site clean. They carried out the work so that we had minimum disturbance with the drainage during the work. They are truly best, from the experience with this project for the outdoor plumbing and drainage work.

Had one of your technicians here at my townhouse yesterday. The job I had completed was to have my sump pump pit cleaned out and drainage pipe inspected by a drain camera. The technician I had was extremely professional, polite and very helpful. I paid extra for their pump trailer and it was well worth it. The sump pit was completely cleaned of mud and debris and the drain camera revealed a debris blockage and that was cleared/cleaned. The Tech also gave me advise on a battery backup system for the sump pump, in the event of a power failure....I'll be taking that advice! Nothing beats spending a little money for a good nights sleep and piece of mind. Thanks Ante! and a Shout Out to your Technician!

Water Softener Installation Up-Sell: Over the phone, I was given a range of 350-420. After providing all the information along with pictures of the water softener, the pipes, etc., the lady confirmed that it is a basic job and should be done @ 350. The plumber came as scheduled, saw the room where it will be installed, checked the pipes, etc and then ripped open my new Whirlpool 30000 grain water softener. Suddenly he figured out the pipe sizes doesn't match and I need to buy 2 pcs of 3/4 x 1 inch female adapter. I was surprised but was okay with it and asked for the cost. He said he doesn't have it and need to buy it from the suppliers and it will increase by installation cost to 500. I was obviously shocked and asked him more detail about this adapter. After insisting a bit, he showed me a picture on his cell phone, which was basically an item from the home depot website. I re-confirmed with him that it is only those adapters which are causing an increase of 150 in my installation cost. He said yes, and he was also kind enough to offer me a 50 discount, thereby bringing my cost to 450. At the end I rejected his offer and started googling about the adapter. In home depot this adapter is selling for 13 each and in Canadian Tire, this is 4.20 each. I called back the ANTA Plumbing customer care with my complaint and as expected they said it is the normal procedure to revisit the quote once the plumber visits the actual location of the installation and inspects everything. I am not surprised, but disgusted to see these business practices are still so much prevalent in today's world...
