We booked the ultimate adventure tour and went out to see whales among other sea animals and also crabbing. We had a great time and our family truly enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Martin, was very knowledgeable and accommodating making sure that we were having fun and saw a lot of animals. We got to see sea otters, sea lions, seals, and whales!

Recently went on a thorough wildlife tour over a weekend in August and amazing time! We booked the ultimate adventure tour through the hotel which included the room at the Tofino Resort and Marina, crab trapping, and a private wildlife tour. I picked the early morning option for the tour hoping for less traffic and more wildlife viewing and was not disappointed! The ride took place on a midsized fishing vessel with open seating and lots of open space. The open air vessel was a bit chilly, but with a hoodie or light parka it was warm enough. On our circumnavigation of the islands, were able to view otters lounging in the kelp beds, seals sunning themselves on the rocks, sea lions posing, puffins diving for food, and hung out with grey whales in a shallow bay as they scoured the ocean floor. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, and since it was a private tour he was flexible if we wanted to spend more time in a certain location. Upon reentry into the harbour, we retrieved our crab trap and found dungenous and rock crabs. All in all, the tour took about 4 hours and we were back in time for a late breakfast. It was a great way to start the day!
We private chartered a fishing expedition and were blown away by the value. John was a terrific captain and took us to see some wildlife as well as fishing. It was a day very well spent.
Amazing tour!! Captain Eugene did a great job. We saw grey whales, sea lions, and an adorable sea otter. And the boat ride was super fun too!
It was good, but if you're not going with a large group, there's a chance you'll go whale watching in a smaller boat which could be uncomfortable and cold and there's little chance you'll see what you've paid for
