They didn’t communicate when they decided to close, no matter if the pandemic affected they had students that had paid for classes so they should have communicated or refunded them. The place is now on lease and their recording machine or emails don’t give any information about it. They even removed the phone number from the google search but if you had it previously it just doesn’t give any details. They are also not replying emails. Such a bad experience if you lost some money there.

The Toronto Institute for The Enjoyment of Music is a place filled with love for music and passion for music education. The atmosphere and approach are inviting and allow students to discover their musicality at their speed with support and encouragement. Both our children have been coming for music lessons for years. Highly recommended!

My 10 year old daughter started ukulele classes this fall and absolutely loves coming here. The vibe is relaxed, very welcoming, flexible and always professional. Roey in particular has been a fabulous teacher who focuses as much on the enjoyment and love of music as on good technique. He keeps my daughter challenged at just the right level while making every lesson stress-free and fun. Worth all five stars!

This is the best possible option for learning music. Their name is completely accurate, enjoyment is clearly a high priority! And they don't sacrifice quality. They seem to have mastered the delicate balance of excellence in learning with a positive environment. I have been a student there for 2 years and they have consistently been amazing. I never thought I could learn so much so fast! And it has been always so much more than just learning how to play the guitar. The atmosphere and treatment has helped improve my self esteem. Their lessons help not only in learning the instrument but in real life challenges. I've had people for years talk about the importance of breaking problems down into smaller chunks, and logically I understood the value of the concept, but I could never seem to understand how to actually do that. It may sound like a simple lesson to some, but to an overachiever like me, it was like a language I just didn't speak; so I couldn't implement it. But from repetitively seeing my teacher break our learning down into these smaller chunks, the repetition helped me learn the framework and actually apply it to both my guitar lessons as well as my work and personal life. I am both relieved and grateful! They also have built a lovely positive community. They hosted an open mic for students back in December, and I performed for the first time in front of people I didn't know, and it was a better experience than I could have ever imagined. You could literally feel the positivity, support and mutual respect in the room. I've never felt anything like it anywhere else in my life. For adults and children alike, this is a great place to learn. It's never too late, and it's the best money I've ever invested into the betterment of my enjoyment of life.

My son is 3 years old and has been taking piano and music class at TIFEM for 6 months. He loved Francois’s class so much. As Francois is one of the best that we ever met - very patient and fun! Thanks to Francois keep my son strongly interested in learning music! Now he knows how to read notes :)
