A place with a mission that no one go hungry in Mississauga. Volunteering at this place makes me feel happy and a sense of satisfaction of serving the society. I have seen how TMFB is helping those in need through various means even during the COVID-19 pandemic. The staff and volunteers are very friendly and happy to help.

Unlike some non profits which offer only value added but not essential services for their own employment, food banks really help the community by offering real goods to people in need. Then Missisaauga food bank is one of the best out there that takes care of its community. For the not so positive comments about expired food, we need to understand that food banks run on donations and have to deal with storage and logistics, the onus lies on the receiver to check if the food is in good condition. Actually many dry food items are eligible way past expiry dates. For people who complain, let me ask - would you prefer fundings to go to those non profits that pay their executive team millions of dollars a year? Or to employment services that the consultants get good pay to help you get minimum wage job? Not all non profits deserve praises. We should at least be grateful that food banks are there to help so no one in our neighborhood will go hungry!
