For my wedding, Erin Carmichael (co-owner and florist) provided us with boutonnières that died after 1 hour so we couldn't even take pictures with them. It's very disappointing since she charged us 20 for each boutonnière. When we complained, Stacey (co-owner) said: \flowers are living things and they die\. When we emailed Erin some time later, she said: \I am happy to refund you\ and \I will send the refund later today\. But after that she ignored us and never refunded us, despite multiple reminders. Bad service. The bouquets also died after a couple hours and looked too sad for pictures. When you pay so much for flowers (125-200 per bouquet), you want to be able to take pictures with them but our photographers said they looked too tired. And it wasn't even hot that day. Another issue we had with the florist is the backdrop behind our sweetheart table. We asked for 2 cherry blossom trees and a chandelier. She charged us 850 and the result was completely different than what we discussed. 850 for a few fake branches attached to a copper pipe, and a crooked chandelier which wasn't even on. Again, very disappointing. When we complained about it, she said: \I am very confused as to why you were unhappy with your head table backdrop\ and then: \I stand behind what we provided\. Floral design is way overpriced and the flowers don't last. When you complain, they get defensive and blame it on you. Their creative freedom is more important than what the bride and groom ask. Bouquet design and the centrepieces were nice.

Where do I even begin? Working with Stacey Price and Erin Carmichael of The Design Co. on my wedding this past fall was an absolute dream! When my husband and I first met wedding planner, Stacey Price, I knew we would be in good hands, but throughout the wedding planning process and on our wedding day itself, she proved to us that we had the best that there is on our side. Planning an out-of-town wedding and being a self-confessed “control freak”, I knew that I needed help putting all of the pieces together, but that it would be difficult to find someone that I could trust implicitly with such an important day in my life. Stacey made everything effortless! I was able to put all of my trust in her and she made even the most tedious tasks a breeze. On our wedding day, I knew she had everything taken care of, so I was able to just sit back and truly enjoy my day with my new husband and all of our family and friends! Erin Carmichael is truly a floral genius! From our initial floral consultation, she took all of my scattered ideas and inspiration and gave them a direction. I was absolutely blown away by her creative talent and how she was able to so quickly understand my style and what I wanted the overall “look” of our wedding to be. On our wedding day, all of the details were as we had discussed, but even better than I could have ever imagined! From my bouquet, to the boutonnieres, to how she transformed our reception space into a hanging garden – everything was so beautiful and so perfect! Our guests are still talking about how beautiful our flowers were! She is just the best!
