Love Tea Base! Such a welcoming space, and located in the heart of Chinatown. Visited Tea Base for their drop-in Mahjong on Mondays for only 5 or pay what you can. When I visited for the first time, Hannia was so welcoming. The people who are there regularly are also very welcoming, and are always open to teach new players like me. Great vibe, positive space and it’s always a good time. 100% recommend!

Such a wonderful community space! I learned about Teabase from going to Mahjong Mondays (it's PWYC, and theyre always open to teaching beginners how to play)! Since then Ive been to a couple of events; theyre always so open and friendly and they do so much for the Chinatown Community. It's a little hard to find at first but theyre in the basement of Chinatown Centre; just head towards the sound of people laughing/having a good time :)

Teabase is an amazing and welcoming community space in the heart of Toronto’s Chinatown, for people who are interested in learning about Chinese-Canadian culture. PS if you like mahjong, go on Mahjong Mondays—it’s a fun, no-pressure way to learn how to play the game with enthusiasts of all ages.
