As an employee, I can say that GSV is an awesome place to work. A place that you wake up in the morning HAPPY having to work. Leadership team always helping and taking care of every concern from family/staff/resident. Care team: they are so lovely and friendly, I always see them taking care of our residents with love and attention. Housekeepers/Laundry always keeping our place fresh and clean. Kitchen team: always preparing delicious meals with love. Recreation team: managing visitations at GSV taking care of all protocols to keep our residents safe from outside contact. In conclusion: no words to describe how wonderful this place is.

We are so glad our mother is living at Guildford Senior’s Village! When she arrived last January, she was not eating properly, sat in her condo in the dark for long periods of time, had one friend and was so very lonely. Our visits were not enough to sustain her (and we saw her every day). I could no longer make and take her food as she unplugged her freezer and often forgot how to use the microwave, if she happened to remember she had food at all. For the first couple months after moving in to Guildford, she remained very unhappy. But by about March, she was no longer remaining isolated in her room and had made friends. She was participating in the activities offered, was eating in the dining room and had gained a healthy amount of weight. Mom’s successful transition to her new living arrangement was due completely, I am sure, to the second floor staff (and Sandra!). They were very patient and caring with her while she was finding her comfort zone. I cannot say enough about the care my mom (and the other residents) is being given or how much I appreciate that care! Thank you to all the staff at Guildford! I am very, very happy my mom is in your care!
I can't express enough how grateful I am for the staff at Guilford Seniors Village. Everyone for caregivers, nurses, management and front desk are very friendly and helpful. They treat my dad with respect, compassion and the care they provide for him is excellent. It's like they are taking care of their own family member. I visit my dad everyday, and the care they show to all the residents is what all care home should be.
I have been able to spend some weeks at the Guildford Seniors Village during the past year as a respite resident. It's one of the best places around for respite care. Well-located in the downtown part of Guildford, it's a clean and secure environment with delicious meals, excellent staff, and lots of good recreational choices. My first two-week stay was in August 2018 when I was beginning to recuperate from an aneurysm/stroke I had in November 2017. At that time, I could not do much by myself so relied on the capable and loving care given to me by everyone at the Village. My second visit was in December 2018 before Christmas. On this visit, I was able to sit on the side of the bed for a short period and feed myself with my left hand only. I was still quite needy for assistance to bathe and dress. I was taken in a wheelchair to meals and other events. Staff were always happy to help me whether it be bathing, dressing, or taking me to recreation activities. I felt very lucky to be in my 'home away from home'. My third visit to the Guildford Seniors Village was in April 2019. After seven months of physiotherapy, I had improved considerably. I was now in a walker, feeding myself, and dressing myself. However, I am 88 and still need assistance with some daily activities. The Village has been the perfect place for me at all stages of my recovery. Mary Mills
My mother was convalescing at the Guildford Seniors Village for a period of three weeks following her surgery. She received the utmost professional care during her recovery and was sincerely impressed with the dedication and interest the staff conveyed to her in all aspects of her stay. The food was wonderful with a daily varied menu and the entire complex is very clean, tastefully appointed and well maintained. It would be her first choice to go back to regarding care, should the need arise.
