Women behind the counter was very nice. She allowed me to shop without harassment. I ended up with a nice acoustic guitar for a reasonable price.

I'm 17 years old and I have a passion for music. Went there to look for a new guitar... The people there were so rude, all because I'm a teenager. Was going to buy a 1,300 Schecter... Thanks to the terrible service I went to Long and McQuade and got the same guitar for the same price but with 100% better service. Guys...Don't shop here.

I've known them for years. When they first opened, they were great. I would go there quite a bit and bought a few instruments off of them in the 90's. I went back there after living out of town for some time and Ben was a total jerk. He would'nt give me the time of day and snapped at me when I asked about the Tanglewood guitars that he had there. I am a semi-pro musician and have dealt with many music stores in my day and this was probably my worst experience ever other than dealing with the morons who used to own Prom. I have never been back, nor will I ever go back.

Awesome folks. Quirky? Sure. Highly skilled? Yup. Ben is a great teacher and Helen is a prize. Both are fantastic to deal with if you spend more than thirty seconds chatting and if you have a sense of humour. Couldn't recommend their lessons or their shop more highly.

Went there to get a cable for my new bass, and knew exactly what I wanted. Ben greeted me fair, but as soon as I started talking he turned smug. I told him exactly what I was looking for and right away he started turning me down and told me what I eeded\. I was looking for a \L\ cable for my bass, but he insisted that I needed a heat wrapped one. Now my patch cable wasn't on the bottom, it was in the middle of the bass facing directly up because my bass was an X shape. I kept insisting that I needed an L cable because its very likely its going to snap if i get a heat wrapped. So I knew I needed the cable and just got what he gave me. 50.00 later and the second day of owning it that cable snapped just like I thought it would. Thanks Jett Landry. P.S. I ended up going to long and mcquade and they told me i needed an L cable because of the placement. They know what they are talking about.
