The man was kind enough to drive the distance to our place and pick up an injured hawk. But the experience was somewhat disappointing because the man said the bird had been electrocuted and would be put down. He was a man of few words and the experience felt cold somehow. So with mixed feelings I am grateful for the society's assistance in ending the bird's suffering.
