This is a very well kept and groomed soccer park. The open areas are lovely. However I had a scary experience upon entering the wooded areas around this park while looking for the hiking trail that links up to Waterworks and ultimately to Dalewood. My dog and I came upon several different ‘camping sites’, thankfully deserted but full of used needles, discarded clothing, tents, blankets, etc. I would not let your children or pets venture into the grassy areas or woods surrounding this park! I had heard that St. Thomas was getting bad for this but hadn’t experienced it for myself until this incident. It was rather upsetting and eye opening. I realize this is not the fault of the city or park staff so it doesn’t effect my star rating. But I wanted to give a true accounting of my experience for other potential park users. I did report my findings to the authorities and was told they are aware of these sights and would send someone to clean up.

Could be really pretty but there's a hell of alot of garbage under the train bridge and tents set up along the trails in the woods. Could be quite a beautiful park if the city maintained some trails along the creek

Love to see the moon and stars where they can actually be seen rather than all the street light normally blocking it out from other spots. Also, a good spot to see the big and little dipper.

I stopped by the park with my dog on a long drive. Thanks to some nice weather me and my pup got an hour out of this park - it is spacious and home to many plants and trees. I definitely recommend this park to locals and others passing by.

Lovely open fields. Not ideal for the wet season or evening games (no fields with lights).
