Awesome place to learn about Haida people and their culture. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and showed us around all the totem poles describing their history. There's a store and an amazing cafe in there too for those wanting to quench their shopping and stomach hungers.

This is a great museum. Make sure you go on the totem walk. Our guide went above and beyond telling us about the stories behind the poles. She shared first hand stories about the Haida people.

This was our first stop after we got off our plane. The museum is beautiful! They have a whole section of items that were given back to the Haida through the reparations. It was chilling how much they got back, yet how little in the same breathe. The views from the museum are beautiful. They are located in a sheltered bay with an island in front. They have an amazing section with a canoe that you are able to go see and take pictures of. The gift store also has a great selection of local items. I would highly recommend this as a point of interest to anyone on the island. Just remember to be respectful, and that the Haida culture is not static, it is evolving, so check your exceptions accordingly.

One of the best museums I have experienced. The pole gallery is breathtaking and the amount of art on display is unbelievable.

Very informative. Nice displays. Introductory display about the repatriation was moving. I particularly enjoyed the information about the archiological evidence of the existence of the Haida.

Absolutely brilliant exhibition of beautiful art, historical materials and narrative. This is a unique place which must be visited by anyone who wants to see great artistry and learn more of Haida achievements. One leaves with an exhilarated sense of Haida art, history, and the enormous contribution of a distinctive people.
