This is an excellent destination and clearly run by people working hard to keep improving and providing a beautiful enjoyable space to camp. We stayed on site W80 which really has a nice view of the river, the site is newly done. With quality electrical connection and so nice that someone is investing in easy to use water shut offs. A few items that I will mention in comparison to other private campgrounds we have visited. First they are not trying to use every square millimetre of land, even newer sites are spaced decently and turned to give a nice view where possible. Yes you need to buy wood here you cannot bring your own, but it is really good wood and reasonably priced if you buy in a group of 3 bundles. They also promptly deliver that wood pretty well to the side of your fire pit. Good water pressure, quality water and properly done sewer fittings, just really well done all around. The river is really nice and so many people take advantage of lazy drifting down the soft current of the river between the two beaches most of the afternoon. Friendly neighbours, dog friendly and just a really nice group of people. Everyone we interacted with that worked for the park were wonderful people. I highly recommend this destination if you are anywhere in the area and in fact even if you are not near by this is worth the drive. You are close to lots of great wilderness but those who can't leave the comforts behind the Tim Horton's is within walking distance (no worries you are still far off the highway and it is very peaceful here).

The park is well maintained, with a beautiful picturesque setting along the river. Nice spacious sites, Sandy beaches, and an amazing playground. They have ice cream on-site and a grocery store a few blocks away. Brooke and Ian go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience!

A small, quant campground that is surprisingly quiet being so close to hwy 17. The sites are close to neighbours but no more than other private parks. The swimming is great, a gentle current allows tubes to float from one beach to another. There are no hiking or bike trails. Kayaking is great. HOWEVER THERE ARE NO COVID PROTOCOLS FOLLOWED! They have a sign on the door and one family enters at a time but that is it! The owners and staff do not wear masks, no sanitizers to be seen, no cleansers of counters or pens, etc. Even staff serving ice cream do not wear masks. I asked about the lack of covid requirements and they said they were EXCEMPT because only one family enters the store / registeration office at a time. I didn't feel safe at all and will only return when covid is behind us. I have never heard of a business being excempt from following Covid requirements...hmmm?
