What a great place to relax. The Penny's are fantastic hosts that cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Make sure to give yourself lots of time when taking the ferry however. Unbelievable scenery filled with icebergs, growlers, and bergie bits.

House is clean but very rundown, only enough chairs dishes and cutlery for 4 people. Nothing extra in this place. Bed frame collapsed several times had to place boards to prevent it from continually happening. The host was a beautiful kind woman.

We stayed two nights in 15A and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was warm, cozy, well-lit, nicely furnished, very clean, and perfectly situated on the island. And at 100 per night, it was also a great deal. Joan was a wonderful, kind, and generous host during our recent trip; she was extremely welcoming and she gave us excellent advice for exploring. When we go back to Fogo Island in the future (and we will!), we'll be sure to go back to Penney's Vacation Home.

We had a great stay in Penney's Tourist Home and loved the efficiency unit tour. They are great for a couple or a small family. Everything you need for feeling at home and a great location to tour around Fogo Island or just sit back and relax.
Wonderful location, very comfortable and larger than expected. Very good value the cost
the cottage was clean . I had booked a queen sized bed and when we arrived I was told the room we booked was given to someone else ...she said the other guest had leg problems and required the extra room .....THAT is WHY I booked the queen sized for myself in ADVANCE , I also have that same problem ..could not find another accommodation on the island with a queen given that late date .. she said she would give us 1 free ride into town to make up for it and when my traveling companion took her up on that , her husband charged him 10 bucks for the free ride .the SHOWER was Horrible ...it was small yes but the fact you could NOT adjust the shower head meant the water was in your FACE or in the back of your head I had to rinse myself with a dipper ! . being there is NO taxi or reliable shuttle service on the island this cottage was too far away from the brimstone festival if you intend to have a few drinks .
