Yoshinkan Aikido practised here is a very formal and strong style of Aikido. The dojo is large with room for 30 students at a time. Taught by a 6th Degree black belt with experience and knowledge of all of Yoshinkan's highest level teachers in Japan and Canada. Martial Arts and respect are very serious at the dojo, but the students and Sensei do not take themselves seriously (small jokes will be made at times). The kids class is phenomenal. The balance between girls and boys will vary but to generalize the girls grow very fast in the kids class. Kids who show drive and discipline can be invited to participate (with a kid partner) at some adult class times. This makes it a very family friendly environment. If you are looking for a self defense martial art for yourself, or an activity for the kids on Wednesdays & Saturdays, drop by Yoshinkan Aikido and see what's here. The monthly fees are lower than anything else out there.

We are very pleased with our son's performance in Martial Arts. In less than a year he gained huge in discipline, self confidence and specific Aikido technics. We have warmly recommended Toronto Aikido Dojo to other parents and their kids are now , our son's partners on the mats, happy to learn a life changing art. We say, Long Live Toronto Aikido and All Martial Arts Lovers Julian. Toronto

Welcoming for newbies, Sensei is knowledgeable and patient, especially with the kids. Everyone is friendly and helpful. A very community minded dojo.
