A small eatery offering authentic south east Asian cuisine! I am impressed with the authentic flavors and friendly service from Simply Kitchen. I knew from the small menu that the dishes have been selected and well thought out to offer the best quality and ingredients; some of the best restaurants that I've been to only offer 5-6 main items on the menu! Don't be afraid, people! Also, it's an open kitchen, so you can see how they prepare the food. It looks pretty clean and organized to me. I am really happy I found this place! The foodie in me is always looking forward to ordering food here.

Highly recommended! Overall - Fantastic food and great service! You can really tell that they put a lot of effort and thought into their customers (i.e. putting wrap over the drinks to prevent spillage); taking extra care when making food. When you first walk into the restaurant, you can already tell they've got amazing food because you can smell all the delicious herbs and spices that go into the food. Tried several items on the menu, and definitely recommend the Hainanese chicken rice and the Pad Thai. The chicken was perfectly cooked and very tender and moist despite it being white meat. The rice also had a very good garlic fragrance. Pro tip: dip/pour the chicken soup over the chicken, it changes the flavour profile drastically. The Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice were also very good imo. Both had a good amount of spice and fragrance. Definitely recommend it to people who love South East Asian foods.
This place is amazing. Contrary to some reviews, the restaurant smells amazing and looks very clean. It's nice and quaint and has that homey feeling. There's a small menu so you don't have to take too long to decide what to order. Plus, you just know a lot of thought and care was put into each item on the menu. Hainan Chicken Rice, Pad Thai, Oyakodon, etc. everything is a must try. Where else are you going to get Hainan Chicken Rice in the area? It won't be long before you've tried everything on the menu. The Khanom Chan dessert is utter perfection too, just the right amount of sweetness and it's homemade right in the store.
Foods here are delicious but abit pricy for its portion. We are only having it when we are super craving for it. We would often eat if the price is more affordable or bigger portion.
Laksa was amazing, pad thai was below average wasn’t very authentic , hainanese chicken was moist and tender and rice was flavourful (portion was a bit small though). The smoothies tasted watered down. The order was told to be ready in 45mins but waited another half an hour cause they ran out of chicken so the pad thai and laksa was warm-ish cold. Both me and my friend had diarrhea afterwards, the chicken wasn’t cooked properly we assumed... will give it a try again, maybe it’s one of those off days.
For such a small menu; the quality of the food is amazing. When you know your food and do it well, you’ll have people coming back a lot, like me. And everything is portioned well and always freshly made. A worth-it try for lunch or dinner!
Friendly owners. Food is the highest quality! The Hainanese Chicken Rice is my favourite. I have tried all their main dishes on their menu, and everything is spectacular!
Third time we went back to this place. Loved the Hainanese chicken rice, best we ever had in Toronto. Their Pad Thai and Laksa are loaded with a great variety of fresh ingredients, so authentic that brings back happy childhood memories!
