It is currently 2:21am January 4 ,2020 check in was January 3 between 1-3:30 it took about 4-5 hours to check everyone in and get settled down. Around 12am I’m getting ready for bed a noticed a burning pain on my foot I ignored it and went back to bed. 1 hour later the same thing happened again but on my toe, I then search the bed and found beg bugs. I told the staff and they were looking and acting as if I brought it from my house! I’m very upset and scared to sleep now ! This is my first and last

I did a study 4 nights per week last July 2018 for one month. Each week we came in we were told bed bugs were found. For a building that is a clinic that extracts oodles of blood from their volunteers, the facility is not sterile let alone cleaned regularly. My advice, do short in and out studies. Do longer studies at your own risk!

While not terrible, a little bit of effort would make the dorms and overall experience a lot better. The blankets were absolutely garbage, and there were no fitted sheets provided so the flat ones just slid around the mattresses completely. The towels were so old and pilled that I would barely use them as rags, and the floors could use some carpet, or at least some maintenance and more cleaning. While my experience here wasn't horrible, a little bit of effort would go a long way and would greatly improve the mood of study subjects, as well as that of the staff (due to the issues mentioned above the subjects were constantly complaining and I could imagine that gets old quick).
