First time trying out this congee shop. It is located inside the food court of Field Fresh Supermarket (the first shop near the entrance). They are open during lockdown. Our take out was ready very quickly. The taste is ok as expected from a food court. The price is reasonable.

(中文评论在后)Be cautious when shopping in this takeout. Always ask the cashier (probably the owner) to use the cash register. Ordered 2 Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp (3.15 each as of Sep 25/2020, the same price under the Menu Tag) and the cashier said the price 7.50 without thinking. Handed over 20 bill and received 12.50 change. She didn't use the cash register. Everything looked normal. Felt something was not right. After having the grocery into the trunk, got the right amount using calculator. 3.15 * 2 * 1.13 (13% HST) 7.12. Went back and asked her why the total would be 7.50. She answered because of tax. OK. Plus tax. Then how much total? She paused for a very short moment and punched the numbers in the cash register. Gave me the receipt with 35 cents change. Did not bother for another 5 cents. It was not the first time she cheated me. The HST rate should be 5% percent when the total purchase is 4.00 or less. That is not the case for her. Always 13%. 请多加小心，收银员(应该是老板)不诚实。请要求她用收银机算。 鲜虾肠3.15，点2份，她脱口而出7.50。给她20，她不用收银机，直接找零12.50。 感觉有点不对。用计算器一算，3.15 * 2 * 1.13 (13% HST) 7.12。回头问她，怎么会是7.50，她说要加税。我追问，是要加税，那会是多少？她犹豫片刻，输进收银机，给我小票及35分零钱。其实应该是40分零钱，不过我就没过多计较。 已经是第二次被她骗了。总额在4及以下时，HST应是5%，但她永远用13%。不信去买根油条，看她收多少。

We love the dough fritters and they are consistently good, but they also consistently make up the prices for the dough fritters. One day for 4 dough fitters it's 5.50, some days it's 6.50, then it's 5.75, then it goes up to 9.00, then back down to 7.50. It's basically different every week! And yes, they don't use the cashier. Numbers are always rounded to the nearest quarter! The kicker is that they don't advertise the price of the dough fritters - well at least I didn't see it on their posted menu on the board. I feel they're wrong to do this but we can't find another place nearby that sells fresh dough fitters :(

Good food, no business sense. Lady at the cash is doing too much.. answers the phone, takes orders on the tablet, takes orders in person. Messes up all the orders... Looks like a control freak.. needs to let go and hire proper ppl...hogging everything and screwing it up isn't smart business..
