Famous barbershop has a lot of young and local talent. The barbers working there are all passionate and professional. The prices are extremely fair and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I have been going for a few months now, using a different barber every time, and have left pleased on all occasions. They will usually be playing rap and hip-hop music which is almost refreshing.

A great place for a haircut in Saint John.
Attitude is pretty unwelcoming there considering I go back every two weeks to get a cut, and always tip each time (even though I really shouldn’t). So far I have not been satisfied with any haircut, but today was the last straw, a simple line up after a fade on the sides should be easy enough to do, but somehow that was messed up too. I would rather cut my own hair than go back there to be quite honest.
Famous Barbershop is one of the businesses I will avoid like a plague. Being a businessman I tread carefully before writing anything negative unless I am treated shabbily. After all most business owners mean well and I believe such is the case here as well. However the management at this barber shop failed to instill empathy in their staff. Right from the front desk to the hands that wield the scissors, everyone reeked with empty arrogance. All I wanted was a simple crew cut and my beard trimmed. The barber not only lacked subject matter expertise but lacked the basic decency to make a suggestion, even when an explicit request was made. What does it cost to talk politely? Anyway, I gently excused myself only to get the job done to my satisfaction at "Brick City Barbers” two blocks away.
My son gets his hair cut here every time. They are professional, well trained, and talented. I haven't seen someone come out of there with a bad hair cut yet.
In town for business, needed a hair cut and these guys did a great job. Would recommend to others.
