The food was really good! We ordered takeout and for a Friday night takeout, the 30 min wait was not bad! Takeout experience: go behind the building for pickup! The person was very helpful and friendly when I asked about my order. Packaging is very good for takeout! Easy to handle on the ride home. Great appetizers overall. The Roti Canai was delicious! My mom and I really enjoyed it. We are glad ordered two! The Pulut Panggang and Curry Puff was really filling and also very delicious. We had the Nasi Lemak and the rice was very good. The coconut taste was not very overwhelming and delicate. The chicken however was okay and not really to my liking but the spices, anchovies and peanuts were delicious! I enjoyed this dish thoroughly. My father had the Hainanese Chicken and I assumed he enjoyed it every much because he gobbled it all down!

I have always been a loyal customer of John 3:16 and have introduced it to many of my friends. Their Beef Rendang was one of my favourite dish. However, the food quality was inconsistent since COVID. Two month ago, I ordered Hainaniese chicken which had a weird taste and I had to throw it away. Yesterday, I want to give John another chance and ordered eggplant, rojak, ginger garlic fish, and bbq pork ribs on Uber eats. The eggplant and pork ribs were burnt and tasted bitter while the fish was bland. I am so disappointed that one of my favourite restaurants in Richmond would serve burnt dishes to customer. I will not order from this restaurant anymore unless the quality improved.

YUMMY! Beef dish is sumptuous and the noodles have lovely smokey flavour. Can't beat the eggplant. No dine in yet. The only thing is no english translation of what to order so ask a friend...

The lady at the door was very friendly. She was happy to answer our questions about the menu and make recommendations. The food was out of this world. By far the best curry I've had in Canada. Gonna be here fairly regularly now! Where the Queen reigns, peace freedom and prosperity reaches everyone including the poor.

Almost perfect Malaysian food. This place holds a good reputation among locals. Tried it out while visiting family in Richmond. Satay sticks tasted lovely. Naan with curry sauce served as a great appetizer. All of the dishes performed well, all guests were happy. Parking lot available at rear.

Came here with 3 other friends for dinner and no reservations. The place was packed! Ended up waiting for about half an hour just to get a table. Ordered half a chicken, fried rice, noodle dish and a beef dish. Came with a free soup too. The food was so good! My favorite dish was probably the beef dish, followed by the fried rice. Best Malaysian food I've ever had! Highly recommend you call in for a reservation so you don't wait too long, but I will definitely be coming back again since the food was so amazing!

As a Singaporean, this restaurant really provided us with an authentic and good experience of food from home! Roti Canai, curry rice and beef rendang are my recommendations! Hainanese chicken was also decent and pretty authentic. Fried egg plant was also good! Would definitely recommend to friends wanting to try authentic and good Malaysian/Singaporean food!

This place is amazing. Totally coming back again. Everything on the menu was great and flawless. First time here. No idea what to order. We asked the waitress for recommendations. She said everything on the menu with a picture is great. The truth is almost everything on the menu has a picture (I was like ok sure, that tip was not helpful). We ordered a wide range of items and everything was delicious. The heat is just right, the flavours are rich and perfectly balanced, the texture is top notch. I can't find a thing to criticize. And most importantly, the waitress was right!
