We went in September of 2020 and found it to be a mouth watering taste of Quebec! This restaurant came highly recommended by our tour guide who suggested it for its meat pies and pea soup! We were having a late lunch and ordered the pea soup and Shepherd's Pie - both to share. The presentation was so attractive and the food was absolutely delicious! In addition, the decor inside the restaurant was warm & rustic with the perfect edge of trendy. We loved our experience here!

Overpriced normal breakfast you can easily get in another cafe here. They don’t serve coffee with it and dared to ask for payment and a tip even before the takeaway order was packed! Why should we pay you a tip when you’re already charging and you’re not providing table service? 15 for 2 eggs, a sausage, 1 slice of toast cut in half and some very salty potatoes! No jam or butter provided even. And best of all, the plastic spoon you provided was melted!

If you want an authentic Quebec experience, come to this place. Atmosphere: Since the moment you enter, you feel like a Quebecois, the music, the ambience, decorations all outstanding. Price: Very affordable. Food: We went for brunch and there were some egg choices like lumberjack casserole, great choice if you love traditional egg breakfast, we also went for something not as traditional, we chose French onion soup with bone marrow, yes, bone marrow on the side, it was delicious, we wish it would've been less salty but was so good. We also picked the rabbit wings , dressed on a BBQ sauce, lots of meat and not greasy. They serve you free coffee with your brunch order. Service: Waiting time was less than 10 minutes. Our server was great, very welcoming and helpful. Definitely coming back :)

Had a fabulous dinner here. Walked in without a reservation and seated straight away (6:30pm on a Saturday). Great selection of food, the Quebec style shepherds pie was delicious. Added touch of complimentary pork rinds with maple and pickles. Great service and very cute decor.

A low key culinary adventure. Settings are rustic, cozy, warm, and unpretentious but food quality and preparation are on par with upscale dining. Rabbit wings! (pictured on the left) I have never seen this style of dish offered anywhere else, and it was delicious and well prepared. I believe the dish in the middle was a special. And of course, you have to get the bacon since you're in Canada - it did live up to its reputation. Great coffee too. Really hearty, satisfying, filling food in a modern, hip place. Awesome place for brunch and best place to nurse a hangover. I actually think this is best for brunch, or can be classified as a brunch spot, as they have an exclusive brunch menu. I could only visit this restaurant once, but I have been considering returning just for the food in Old Quebec City. This is a standout place. Menu options are printed in both English and French. Waiter was friendly and welcoming and spoke both languages and recommended the dishes I ended up ordering and I was very satisfied. The temperature is quite warm inside, which is important in a cold city. You can come in and dine dressed down. Many of the staff were wearing flannel, so there is definitely a lumberjack theme here.

A really cozy and nice place! Had to takeout because of COVID, but I had the fried rabbit on waffles and sugar shack meal. The fried rabbit is quite small as a portion, but still tasty. The sugar shack meal is quite filling and also a good meal. Coffee comes with the meal and is surprisingly good and above average coffee in typical brunch restaurants. Quite similar to a Starbucks Americano (but less caffeinated). Last but not least, the service is really perfect. Had the chance to be served by an elderly looking man who was very nice and welcoming. Also answered nicely to orders and questions. A must-try if a rustic Quebec brunch is what you're looking for.

One of my new favourite place to dine in. The interior is amazing and has a different layout. Great ambiance. Great food and no smell like the restaurants usually have. The girls working there were kind enough to get us seated at our desired place (near the window). Also they took our orders seriously and suggested what might go well with them. Very friendly staff. Makes me want to go their again.
