The gate itself is simple gate but the way to walk toward the fortress is great! I really enjoyed to walk around and on the wall. This is the right entrance to the path.

O Portão de Kent foi o último a ser construído em 1878 e 1879. Ao contrário de todos os outros Portões, o Kent Gate nunca desempenhou um papel como parte funcional das fortificações da cidade, foi erguido para fins ornamentais apenas como parte do plano de conservação da fortificação proposto pelo então Governador Geral Lord Dufferin após a partida da guarnição britânica. É nomeado após o duque de Kent, pai da rainha Victoria, ter contribuiu financeiramente para sua construção.
