We walked in and couldn't believe how expensive everything was! Definitely price gauging going on there! Not cool to take advantage of people!

Buchanan's Hardware is a family business not just in the sense that it is owned and operated by family but also because they make their customers feel like family. In addition to all your building needs, which comes with free expert advice for whatever project you're working on, you will also find everything from a small supply of essential groceries to ice cream treats, sporting goods and fireworks. In the spring you'll find a wide assortment of flowers and vegetables to plant in your garden. You can even post a letter at Buchanan's. Buchanan's is also one of only two places to gas up for the next 40 or 50 km and is a favourite stop for snowmobilers in the winter. Sisters Karen and Trish run the entire operation with efficiency and expertise. Trish is quick to tell me that she is the \cranky\ one but I have yet to see either without a friendly smile on their either of their faces.

Stopped for gas on my motorcycle here after finding Arnstein's was closed....ON A MONDAY....has lots of stock...hardware and some junk-food Also had premium gas which other place didn't have. But....Most importantly, a friendly staff. Thanks
