Went in to Michael’s Pitt Meadows today and wanted to get a Canuck Jersey boxed and framed, got lucky enough to be served by Ashley, who took the time to go over all the options, told her that I had one done a few years back so she looked it up. Told her I would send her a picture of the other jersey so she could see the way the sweater was set in the frame. She gave me her cell number to send a picture which I did tonight after Michael’s was closed, she just send me a reply to say thanks and she would take of it. One of the best customer service I ha e received in a long time, thank you Ashley.

Want to thank Michael’s (the glorified-dollarstore-expensive-support-China-made) big box store for reminding me in December why I had been going out of my way to support OTHER craft/art/supplies stores. I didn’t have the annoying coupon on hand (40% one that you can only use for one and certain item) so I asked the checkout clerk to scan her coupon barcode .... she hesitated, then gave me the speech that come January staff will NO LONGER be doing that. No coupon no discount. It’s already annoying you can only use the 40% off coupon for 1 item and now you have to have it handy. It’s the principle of it. Upside, I have fallen more in love with OPUS who carries real artists supplies and has great selection and various prices and no annoying coupons. Even STAPLES has basic paint, craft, art as well as drawing products. It’s made me more aware of other shopping options, even to opening up to online shopping. I avoid online where I can support local and staffed establishments but Michael’s is just over priced and once again not putting customers first. Small but significant annoyance for those of us who don’t have easy access to phones/printers/or forget phone in car....

Went here for the first time. I usually go to the one in Langleh but this location has what I needed. I went around for a quick scan before getting what I needed to check out the place. What stood out the most is customer service! Shout out to JADE for being so welcoming and for the nice quick chat at the till. Acknowledged my baby girl in the stroller snd was quick and efficient. Thank you! I was looking for plastic jars for a small business. I looked at suppliers from China and I was surprised to see that Michael’s has them for a much lower price!

Very very busy. Helped to have cash handy as one cashier was cash only. Second in line Bring cash.. gets you out MUCH quicker
