Stunning and beautiful. Huge selection of gorgeous plants with very knowledgeable and helpful employees. Very excited to see the results of my Mighty Mato plants and my new dwarf fig tree. Will be back again for some of the workshops!

Truly exceptional range of perennials, well laid out, with some unique varieties unobtainable at any other plant nurseries in the Lower Mainland - and knowledgeable staff - making one yearn for a larger garden. However, their prices are generally way above the competition and quality can vary widely between specimens of the same plant. Unfortunately, they have recently discontinued the buy ten plants get one free cards, which did help to ameliorate their high prices .. likely a bad policy move that will backfire on overall sales. I used to greatly look forward to visits but less so now there is a pushy gentleman at the sales point who tries to \con\ customers into purchasing expensive fertilizer for their chosen plants .. on my most recent visit he \automatically\ added a container of fertilizer to my basket without even asking and then argued when I said I had no need of the product. Unprofessional and condescending staff need radical management \pruning\ as they can undermine the reputation of even the best business.

So my order has arrived and I have to say I am pretty disappointed. For some inexplicable reason, despite paying over 150 in shipping, all my plants were packaged sideways and MANY were damaged as a result. The red pagoda looks absolutely terrible, one entire head of the plant is missing. There are leaves everywhere, plants uprooted and damaged farinas everywhere you look. Not only that, but several plants were missing due to crop failure. That is out of your hands I understand, however I would really have appreciated the opportunity to change those plants to something else in stock. I split this order with a lady in my local gardening group in order to try and save some of the massive shipping costs. 70% of the plants she ordered didn't arrive, and she was given no option to choose something else in their place. Yet again, we were still charged the same shipping costs. So now this woman has paid over 75 in shipping for 5 plants. It puts me in a really awkward position. More transparency and communication with your customers on this issue would go a long way. I am really unhappy with my experience ordering, which is really unfortunate because I planned to facilitate many more orders through my local gardening group.

I got a yuzu and Nordmanns seedless kumquat tree from their Great Citrus Preorder event and impulse bought a beautiful looking Sweet 'n Solo kiwi vine when I went to pick them up. If you like unique plants and especially fruit trees/shrubs/vines/canes I recommend giving them a visit. They also have a great website for preorders and events, which is always a bonus for nurseries.
