I purchased medication, then requested to use the washroom. They refused. 3 different staff members refused. I expressed that I was unwell and the urgency and they continued to refuse. Not that this should matter, but I was clean cut, well dressed, polite, wearing my mandatory mask, and just asking while being a paying customer. They showed no empathy or understanding for my medical situation, gave no nearby locations I could go to when I asked, and just didn't care. Which given the industry they are in is shameful. I hope someone gets this addressed. Nobody should have to feel the way I did. And no, covid is not an excuse, other shoppers drug marts and some other stores still offer their clients access to a washroom if needed. This was a specific decision of this location. So livid.
Big security guard always follows me around at night time with my roommate. We live across the road from here so we go frequently and we always get followed when buying bathroom essentials or drinks. It’s creepy as we are young small college girls and this dude claims to be a bouncer at a bar It makes me severely uncomfortable as I have mental health issues n frequent the pharmacy and he almost pushes me into panic attacks in the store as he triggers my severe anxiety by following me around like a shadow when I haven’t stolen anything or don’t even have a bag with me. We Will literally walk in the entrance and get followed right from the self checkout area through the whole store and as we leave. Rest of the staff is wonderful though
I have been dealing with Hani and his staff for about 15 years now. I have found them to be unfailingly helpful and courteous. They have gone out of their way many times to help me when I have encountered any problems and the strain of dealing with covid has not diminished their positive attitudes. Thank you for your many years of wonderful service!
