Just starting to prepare a meal, large pot pre-heating on stove, I am unexpectedly called to answer the door bell. Returning to the kitchen mere minutes later I find the pot is red hot. As I lift it off the burner the stainless steel bottom delaminates and the molten aluminum core, as liquid as water, pours out. Wearing short pants, the molten aluminum thankfully misses my bare legs and feet, to splatter on the countertop and floor. Instantly a myriad of fires are ignited in the vinyl floor. The room quickly fills with smoke so dense it is hard to see fires I am trying to extinguish. The smoke is acrid and I am distracted by the loud blare of our adjacent hard-wired, smoke alarm. At the time, to us it seems a disaster. ABK Restoration Services, Ron Plamondon, ABK Project Manager, and Sabrina Van Haarlem, Assistant Project Manager (as well as Brittney Kneller) are soon in contact. They promptly schedule numerous trades people; carpenters, electrician, plumber. These trades people are all friendly, professional, and fastidious in preparing for floor and counter top installation, while protecting our home from adverse renovation impacts by installing floor protection and dust barrier. Arising from this accident our initial fears have turned to gratitude. For their terrific work we would like to thank in particular: Ron Plamondon, Sabrina Van Haarlem, as well as the numerous ABK sub-trades.

ABK was awesome. We had a major flood in our condo and the ABK team came in and made our home look new again. They not only kept us inform of timelines but what/how and when they were going to do it. A refreshing change to the Skaha Hill builder's radio silence.
We had back to back incident at our residence within two weeks and we received excellent services to deal with our emergency. they were professional and very kind during these high time of stress. I was impressed how quick they dealt with the flood and fire. thank you ABK

We have had a series of claims. ABK staff has provided us with a friendly professional approach, flexible schedule for repairs, knowledge and understanding about our needs. We feel like they really listened. Questions/concerns were handled quickly and to our extreme satisfaction. They worked with us, our adjuster, and the third and fourth parties to sort out our complex situation. It's been a great experience.
