The Pelican Seafood Market 1500 Bank St is a great place to dine (prior to Covid) and to get pick up food and to purchase fresh seafood. The assortment of market fresh seafood is great and all looks, tastes and smells fresh. They also sell some delicious special frozen seafood dinners as well. They are oven ready and with a bottle of wine, fresh bread, music and candles you will be ready for a romantic evening at home. If you like my review please give it a thumbs up so I will know that I am providing interesting comments. Thanks

Portions are on the small side. If you're hungry order an entree. Grilled salmon is child size. Red Thai shrimp not many in the plate. Too much rice. I recommend the chowder. Order the bowl for 3 bucks more. If not they'll charge you 6, for a child sized cup. Quality food. Small portions from my experience. I've eaten at several seafood places. Your salmon piece is the smallest if the bunch. And yes I've found several places that satisfy my appetite. And my girlfriend's. She also wasn't impressed with a plate of shrimp. Full of rice. Not impressed by your establishment. Good luck

Excellent cuisine. Great relaxed atmosphere and service. They have done a really detailed job on the execution of their covid protocols. Perfect spacing of tables and clear divider barriers that dont effect the ambience.

We came for some lunch by since we heard good things about this place. The setting is split between a seafood market and a dine-in restaurant. We ordered take out, one lobster roll 24 and one clam chowder 6. Everything seemed great, until we got our food. The lobster roll was a mess, tasteless and to top it off, the lobster bun itself was stale. How can you serve stale food at a 'fresh' seafood market? The fries were pretty good, but its hard to go wrong with such a staple. The clam chowder was better but nothing to be desired. It wasn't fresh either and tasted like someone put the chowder in the freezer only to defrost it in the microwave and serve it. It was definitely not a great experience and I can see why the people in the store only ordered the fresh seafood and nothing from the Take-out menu.
