This is the second move we have contracted John Thompson Movers, and we continue to be very satisfied with the experience & the outcomes. Marianne was very helpful as she took the particulars of our move over the telephone & arranged the schedule for that to happen. The 3 men arrived on time & got right to work with covering the floors with mats & assessing the furnishings & how they would manage the load.They were very well organized wrapping & removing the items and our home was emptied within 2 hours of their arrival. Upon arriving at our new home everything went smoothly and the men placed furniture where we asked and the truck was unloaded in less than 1.5 hrs. With the .5 hour travel time to & from their warehouse, the entire move was 4.5 hours for a 3 bedroom home. Thank You to Phil, Brandon & Keegan who were dressed in uniform and conducted themselves as true gentlemen. We hope not to need to move again, but should the need arise, we will definitely be arranging that move with John Thompson movers.
The men that moved me were very professional; I have no complaint about them. My problem is with the blankets and mats that they used to wrap my furniture and protect the floors; they were filthy. Upon them dropping the mats on the floor a cloud arose, dust and dirt. My home was clean. At application of the blankets on my furniture there was also dust in the air. Once removed, dirt and dust lay on my furniture. It took a thorough clean, two or three times to remove it. I paid a premium for the move, for that I expect dirt not to be an issue. I don't want other homeowner's dirt and bacteria on my things. I moved first thing on a Monday morning, so, they had time to ensure clean articles. For the price, they should ensure that, as a standard.
