Seems civil and well organized. You sign for a 24hr permit when you arrive. Locate your trailer appropriately and you're good to go. The don't hassle you, or even drive past in the night. But it's secure, and as low road noise as you can expect, given the location. Also doubles as the snow yard in winter, they like you parked close to the main road opposite the CIBC if possible.

Security was very friendly, spot we picked by the trees for shading the rv was perfectly level. Main reason for staying here is I could not find an rv park with 20km of this area as my mother lives 5 minutes away.

South Centre Mall, just off MacLeod Trail and Anderson Rd in South Calgary, is a great free overnight RV parking location. An area in the south-east sector of their parking lot (see green area of the image) can be used for overnight parking for a maximum of three nights. You must check in with Mall Security and leave your contact information so they can contact you in case of an emergency and to track your days there. The area if flat and level and a wide boulevard separates you from the Anderson Rd traffic noise. We've been using this location for three years now, while visiting Calgary, and we've never had an RV neighbour while here.

Great option for a place to sleep overnight. Mall security is nice and it was relatively quiet. Next to the library and Safeway.
