Where this label appears is known locally as Trillium Woods, which is a beautifully rugged old growth forest. The trails that are marked there are not groomed, but are generally kept clear of downed trees. It is the forest on the other side (i.e. east) of Goulbourn Forced Road that is the Monk Environmental Park. The trails there are groomed (wide, flat and covered with crushed stone). There are more trails than appear on Google Maps, but they are not groomed and can be quite muddy in the spring. They used to be connected to the network of trails near the Beaverpond to the south, which provided safe access from \Old Kanata\ (Beaverbrook neighborhood). That area was clear-cut starting in 2011 and is still a wasteland.

Beautiful woods, easy trails, short walks that are suitable for even novice hikers.
Awesome trail that links to our backyard! Very peaceful and beautiful on a sunny winter day, although I have yet to find a complete loop back to Kanata Estate.
A really nice walk in the forest, trails are crushed stones, winding trails, with a creek and a pretty small foot bridge. That a chance and get out into the forest. You will enjoy the break.
Walking trails with tree clusters such as oak, maple and beech. Easy paths but watch out for bikes when they are not on their special trails. Very easy terrain.
